Client financial data is sensitive. The CA Act and ICAI ethics expect confidentiality. Practical rules for cloud AI:
- Never paste real client names, PAN, GSTIN, or account numbers into AI tools.
- Use the paid Pro tier of Claude or ChatGPT (privacy default is stronger; no training on your chats).
- For tax research and section lookups, full pasting of published sections is fine.
- For client-specific advisory, write the question in generic terms ("a private limited company in the manufacturing sector with FY 2024-25 turnover of approximately X").
