About India's Best AI Tools

Why India's Best AI Tools exists, who writes the reviews, and how the site stays independent. Our editorial position on affiliate links, sponsored content, and Indian payment friction.

India's Best AI Tools is an independent review journal for AI software, written for Indian users. We test every tool from India, list the real INR price after tax, and write honest reviews that include the things most global review sites quietly skip, which Indian cards work, whether UPI is supported, whether you'll get a proper GST invoice, and how the tool handles Hindi or regional Indian languages.

Why this site exists

Most "best AI tools" articles you find online are written for American or European users. The pricing is in dollars, the payment flows assume an American Express card, the use cases are software engineers in San Francisco. None of that translates cleanly to India.

The Indian AI user has different problems. Your debit card gets rejected on first payment. Your tool quotes $20 a month but actually charges ₹2,358 with GST. Your GST invoice doesn't have your GSTIN unless you remember to add it before subscribing. The "free tier" the article praised has different limits in India. Hindi and regional language quality varies wildly between tools.

This site is built to surface those Indian-specific details on every review. If a tool doesn't work for an Indian user, we say so. If a tool's free tier is genuinely enough for most Indian use cases, we say that too, even when it kills our affiliate revenue.

How we make money (and don't)

We use affiliate links on some tool reviews. When you sign up for a paid plan after clicking through one of our links, the tool's affiliate program pays us a small commission. The price you pay is identical, no markup.

Things we don't do:

  • We don't accept sponsored reviews. Tools cannot pay to be on this site or to receive a positive review.
  • We don't accept payment to alter our recommendations. Our final verdict on each tool is independent of whether we have an affiliate relationship with that tool.
  • We don't hide the ranking effect of affiliate fees. If a tool we have an affiliate relationship with would not be our pick, we say so explicitly.
  • We don't pretend to test what we haven't tested. Every review is based on the writer using the tool from India for at least one billing cycle.

If you want to verify our independence, the cleanest signal is to count the negative things we say about tools we link to. Our ChatGPT review openly recommends staying on the free tier for casual users, despite Plus being where any commission would come from. Our Notion review says "don't start using Notion just for the AI". That's the editorial stance.

How reviews are produced

Detailed methodology lives on our methodology page, but the short version is, we use the tool for our own work, in India, with Indian payment methods, on Indian use cases, and we write down what actually happened. We re-test pricing every month and update the live INR figures on the site.

Who writes here

The site is operated as an independent review journal. Reviews are written by working Indian users, freelancers, small business operators, and product professionals, who actually subscribe to the tools they review. We do not accept guest posts from tool vendors or PR agencies.

If you have feedback on a review, factual corrections, or a tool we should add, you can reach us at hello@indiasbestaitools.com.

Editorial corrections policy

We update reviews when, pricing changes (every month), tool features ship or are deprecated, our recommendation shifts based on new evidence, or a reader points out a factual error.

Each article carries a "Last updated" date in the meta line. When the change is material, the change is noted at the bottom of the article in a brief errata section.

What's coming next

We are building this site in public. Each round, you'll see more tool reviews, more profession-specific guides (CAs, doctors, teachers, engineers, freelancers, creators), more comparisons, and more practical Indian-specific guidance, payment workflows, GST handling, regional language quality, and use cases that match Indian work.

If a tool isn't covered yet and you'd like a review, email us. We prioritize based on reader requests.
